Hollow core slabs
The hollow core slabs are a customised, loosely reinforced full concrete slab with multiple cavities in a longitudinal direction (round, oval, among others) and are used in residential construction because of the short span width of max. approx. 8 m. The width of the slab is normally up to 2.4 m.
After laying the slab on the construction site, there is no need to carry out any further concreting works, you can immediately begin with screeding work.
Site elements, such as electrical outlets, services, openings, etc. or even heating conduits can be installed in the hollow core slabs at the pre-casting plant. They have a smooth underside with a high surface quality = it can be wallpapered or painted. Plasterwork is not required, however, the joints between the individual panels must be sealed.
